BMAN5250DSA is a development board based on the Holtek 8-bit smoke detector MCU BA45F5250.
It functions as a standalone voice-enabled smoke alarm and is intended for product development,
functional verification, and demonstration purposes.
POWER-ON SELF-TEST After power-on, the red LED flashes once and the buzzer beeps once.
If calibration has not been completed or has failed, the red LED remains continuously ON.
CALIBRATION MODE Before power-on, short the BD calibration connector (PC4 to GND) to enter calibration mode.
In calibration mode, the red LED flashes once per second.
After successful calibration, the device automatically enters standby mode.
If calibration fails, the red LED remains continuously ON.
STANDBY MODE Under normal conditions, the device operates in standby mode.
The red LED flashes once every 40 seconds.
LOW-VOLTAGE MODE When the supply voltage drops below 2.7V, the device enters low-voltage mode.
The red LED flashes once every 40 seconds and the buzzer beeps once.
The speaker plays a low-battery voice prompt.
ALARM MODE When the smoke concentration exceeds the alarm threshold, the device enters alarm mode.
The red LED keeps flashing.
The buzzer sounds intermittently, and the speaker plays alarm voice prompts.
SILENT MODE In alarm mode, pressing the TEST button activates silent mode.
The red LED continues flashing, while the buzzer and speaker are muted.
The silent period lasts for 90 seconds and exits automatically.
TEST MODE In standby mode, pressing the TEST button triggers test mode.
The device simulates an alarm condition, including LED flashing, buzzer sound, and test voice playback.
Releasing the button exits test mode.
FAULT DETECTION If the IR transmitter or IR receiver is open-circuit or short-circuit,
the red LED flashes twice every 40 seconds and the buzzer beeps twice.
DEBUG OUTPUT The debug output pin is PA2.
Press and hold the TEST button before power-on to enable debug output.
The baud rate is 38400, and the data format is 8-N-1.
