This product is the upgraded version of the e-WriterPro programmer and is fully compatible with the previous generation. It is designed specifically for programming Holtek 8-bit Flash / OTP MCUs. You can perform programming using either the e-Socket or the ICP (In-Circuit Programming) method, making it well suited for low- to medium-volume MCU programming needs.
In addition, this product further supports the programming of 32-bit MCUs. Before purchasing, please be sure to look up the corresponding e-Socket based on your MCU model and category; for details, please refer to Holtek's Model Description.
⬥ Please note: This product does not support the MCU debugging (Debug) function. If you need to debug an 8-bit MCU, please use the e-LinkPro2 together with the HT-IDE3000 software.
This product does not support MCU debugging functions. If you need to debug a Holtek 8-bit MCU, please use the e-LinkPro2 in conjunction with the HT-IDE3000 software.
Due to differences in programmer hardware designs, some previously developed e-Socket32 adapters can only be operated on the older e-Writer32 and cannot be directly used with the e-WriterPro2. Before purchasing or transitioning, customers must verify their specific MCU model and official classification to find the corresponding adapter model. For detailed information, please refer to the official Holtek Model Description.
When using the e-WriterPro2 for ICP programming of HT32 MCUs, the correct programming procedure must be strictly followed; otherwise, it may result in programming failure or damage to the programmer.
Prior to programming, please select ICP as the package mode in the HOPE5000 software, and use the dedicated custom DuPont wire to connect from the CN2 interface to the target board. Meanwhile, ensure that the target board is NOT powered (refer to the comparison table below for specific configurations). For detailed information, please refer to the official Holtek Comparison Document.
