DESCRIPTION
BMS (Battery Management System) is a system to detect the status of Li-ion batteries and control the charge and discharge promptly to keep the operation safe and extend battery life. Without BMS, Li-ion batteries may damage or explode due to improper use.
When using Li-ion batteries as the power supply, you need to charge or discharge each cell of the Li-ion battery to achieve the voltage you expect.
This product is a Li-ion battery voltage calibration board that provides the fixed 4200mV voltage. Connect the voltage calibration board to the development board and MCU adaptor board, and the MCU can learn the standard voltage of 4.2V.

Connecting the voltage calibration board to the development board and MCU adaptor board, the MCU can learn the standard voltage easily.
The voltage deviation can be corrected via variable resistance
HARDWARE OVERVIEW
Required Materials
This product can be used with two kinds of MCU adaptor boards and development boards as below:
HT45F86xx series MCU adaptors boards and development board ESK-BMS-200
HT45F85xx series MCU adaptors boards and development board BMS-WS01
Getting Started
To learn the voltage, you need to insert the MCU adaptor board into the development board ESK-BMS-200 or BMS-WS01, and connect it to the voltage calibration board.
Supply power of 36V to 40V DC to the calibration board, but not turn on the power. (we recommend you use the adapter we provided)
Long press the calibration button on the development board, and turn on the power.
Four LEDs light on for about 5 seconds if the voltage learning is completed.
You can use the MCU adaptor and development board with BMS Workshop to complete a battery management system.
The board had been calibrated at the factory. If the board occurs voltage deviation after a long period of use, you can adjust it via variable resistance (refer to datasheet for more details).
Why do I need the Li-ion battery protection functions?
If the Li-ion battery is used improperly, the battery will be damaged, and there may be an explosion accident.
The protection functions provided by the BMS workshop are used to prevent them.
Charge / discharge protection Over-discharge: lead Li-ion batteries to damage and degrade.
Overcharged: Li-ion battery can cause an explosion. It is very dangerous!
Charger voltage protection This protection function is used to make sure the charger voltage is within a reasonable range.
Charger's voltage is too low: batteries' power flows back to the charger.
Charger's voltage is too high: large voltage difference damages the charger and batteries.
Charge / discharge current protection Charge current is too small: it needs to take a longer time for charging.
Charge current is too large: the batteries' temperature raises sharply and causes damaged.
Large discharge current: lead batteries to overheat and degrade.
Short-circuit protection The protection system can interrupt voltage output immediately if a short circuit occurs during operation.
Temperature protection If Li-ion batteries keep working at high temperatures, battery circling is reduced.
